Intellect comments on Lord Stevens Report

Intellect, the trade association for the UK technology sector, welcomed the focus on effective ICT in Lord Stevens' Border Security report, launched this week.

Intellect believes that information management and communications are the lifeblood of the UK's security, resilience and law enforcement agencies, and Lord Stevens' report highlights how exploiting ICT effectively would be critical for a UK border patrol force.

The UK technology industry would be a vital partner for delivering the integrated and evolving technologies that the report envisages, and Intellect plays a key role helping industry, stakeholders and policy makers to work together. Intellect works with a range of Government departments to improve procurement and project delivery in the public sector, so that complex technologies like these are delivered effectively and efficiently.
