BSIA: Fire, police, security and safety sectors join for global promotion
Thursday, 15 May 2008 15:42
The fire, security, police and safety sectors have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to working together on exporting issues.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the British Security Industry Association, Fire Industry Association, Association of Police and Public Security Suppliers and the British Safety Industry Federation at IFSEC 2008.
David Dickinson, BSIA Chief Executive, comments: "There are an immense number of common issues between our respective organisations and members when it comes to exporting, and it makes sense for the leading trade associations for each sector to work as closely together as possible. It is crucially important that British industry can work together to promote our products and services overseas and demonstrate the true talent that British business has to offer."
"Members of all our organisations will benefit from this new agreement which will ensure that we coordinate lobbying activities, work together to identify future initiatives, and share resource and information on common issues. All this will result in the global promotion of UK exporters and increased success of British business overseas."
