Today the British Youth Council (BYC) launched a fresh, new look website with a competition for visitors to the site to win an iPod, Mp3 players and loads of other great prizes. The new site
www.byc.org.uk will be packed with loads of added features; more videos from BYCtv, a Message Wall and the first ever online map of all Local Youth Councils in the UK to help young people connect with groups in their area.
The new website, launched to celebrate 60 years of BYC campaigning, inspiring and empowering young people, is more interactive than ever before.
The competition involves a treasure hunt through the new website, which signposts young people to have their say in loads of different ways: from taking part in quick polls to getting involved in our onlining campiagning, to posting on the Message Board. The competition will be open for a month after the website is launched.
“I think the new website really gives BYC the look and sexy design that is required to keep up to date with today’s youth. I think it really gets across the message that BYC is all about its young people and listens and involves them in every step of the way”.
Ben Bilverstone, age 19, BYC Campaigner.
BYC works to empower all young people aged 26 and under to have their say and be heard on the things they are passionate about.
