Keynote Speakers Announced - Lord Eddie George and P.J. O’Rourke
Lord Eddie George, former Governor of the Bank of England and P.J. O’Rourke, leading political satirist and best-selling author will headline a first class list of speakers at the National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) 2008 Investment Conference.
The NAPF Investment Conference is the definitive pensions event in the calendar and is specifically designed to address the key issues and challenges facing pension funds and institutional investors. So far, 650 delegates have registered.
Governance, private equity, risk budgeting and investing for a sustainable future are just some of the topics on the agenda.
Speakers
Lord Eddie George was Governor of the Bank of England for ten years (1993 to 2003). During his governorship the Bank of England was given independence in setting its interest rates. In 2004, he became a life peer.
P.J. O’ Rourke, political satirist and best selling author, has recently published On the Wealth of Nations, a commentary on Adam Smith’s seminal work.

Paul Myners – Chairman of Personal Accounts Delivery Authority;
Sir David Walker – Walker Review on Private Equity;
Partha Dasgupta – Chief Executive of The Pension Protection Fund.

The conference will be held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre from 5th -7th March. It is open to NAPF fund and business members, as well non-members.
