New BYC Website Coming Soon with the Chance to Win an iPod!!

In 2008 the British Youth Council is celebrating 60 years of empowering young people in the UK to have a voice. As part of our celebrations, BYC are counting down the days till the launch of our new website - and in anticipation, our New Media Team have produced a video that takes a cheeky glimpse at the six decades BYC has been in action.

Check out our video made by Kate, BYC v New Media Intern:

If you like our video, why not share it with your friends? You can view it and rate it on Youtube, Myspace, Facebook and Bebo too.

Our brand new website will be packed with loads of added features and a fresh new look. We will have more videos from BYCtv and a Message Wall to write your comments on. We will also have the first ever online map of Local Youth Councils in the UK to help you connect with groups in your area. As ever, we will have loads of opportunities for you, so that you can get involved in the issues you care about, and a searchable library of fact sheets and 'how to' guides on getting your voice heard, campaigning, meeting your MP and more!

BYC will be running a competition to get you in the mood to discover our new site. In the first month we're live on the web you'll have the chance to enter a draw for an iPod, mp3 players and other cool prizes!

Just remember - you've got to be in it to win it - so look out for our new site coming soon!
