BSIA appoints technical manager

The British Security Industry Association has appointed David Wilkinson, former BSIA Technical Officer, to the position of Technical Manager.

David Wilkinson comments: "I am delighted to have been promoted to the position of Technical Manager. Over the past two years I have been heavily involved in the development of various BSIA and British Standards. Technical services are at the heart of the work of the BSIA and I look forward to contributing still further to the provision of this vital service to our members as the Association moves forward."

Alex Carmichael, BSIA Technical and Membership Services Director, says: "The appointment of David as Technical Manager is part of the BSIA's ongoing commitment to improving standards within the security industry. We pride ourselves on ensuring that the security industry has a significant representative voice in the development of British and European standards and is leading the way in the development of its own codes of practice. I am sure that David will make a significant contribution to this objective."
