Shooters in Hampshire and Kent will be able to find out more about gamekeeping, firearms, gundogs and shoot day etiquette at BASC events in September.

The events, which are being held on 11 September at Lains Shooting School and 16 September at West Kent Shooting School, are entitled ‘All you ever wanted to know about game shooting but were too afraid to ask’.

There will be talks on shooting and the law, gundog first aid as well as the opportunity to do BASC’s Safe Shot assessment and to enter a range judging competition.

BASC regional officer for the south east, Jenni Thompson, said: “These days are not specifically aimed at improving your shooting skills but to improve your overall shooting experience with the knowledge of a range of experts on hand, the chance to make new contacts and of course the opportunity to gain the prestigious safe shot award.”

The event costs just £50 per person and includes lunch, refreshments and Safe Shot assessment fee. Application forms are available from the BASC regional office or online at: http://www.basc.org.uk/content/basc_south_east_diary.
