Welcome
The Quoted Companies Alliance (QCA) is the membership organisation that champions the needs of quoted companies outside the FTSE 350.
The QCA is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to representing the interests of over 2000 quoted companies outside the FTSE 350 on the Main List, AIM and PLUS – a sector vital to the growth of the UK economy.
The smaller quoted company (SQC) sector is characterised by companies who tend to have the following common features, when compared to those companies in the FTSE 350:
- A lower level of resources, in terms of both management resource and finances.
- A narrower shareholder base and lower profile with investors and the media.
The key objectives of the QCA are to benefit the SQC sector by:
Lobbying
Lobbying the Government, Brussels and other regulators to reduce the costly and time-consuming burden of regulation, which falls disproportionately on SQCs. This work is done by our technical committees.
