Habinteg is the leading national provider of affordable accessible homes. We champion inclusion by building sustainable neighbourhoods of Lifetime Home and wheelchair standard properties for disabled and non-disabled people to share and enjoy. Our thoughtful designs and on-site support services make a real difference to people's quality of life.

We use our expertise to challenge negative social attitudes, promote the rights of disabled people and improve accessibility standards within housing.

Habinteg was founded in 1970 and now has 2,120 homes, of which 530 were built specifically for
wheelchair users. Since 1994, all Habintegs other properties have been designed to the Lifetime
Homes standard. Habinteg is established in all regions in England and also has homes in Wales and sister associations in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic.

Livability Housing is a Housing Association which specialises in homes designed and adapted for wheelchair users and their families. It provides over 1,200 homes throughout the UK.

Livability Housing seeks to enable disabled people to live as independently as possible within their own accessible homes.

Livability Housing was originally known as John Grooms Housing Association. It was renamed in April 2008 following the establishment of a partnership with the charity Livability formed from the merger of the charities John Grooms and the Shaftesbury Society in June 07.
