Victim Support is the national charity which helps people affected by crime. We provide free and confidential support to help you deal with your experience, whether or not you report the crime.
In London, there are 31 independent Victim Support charities providing community-based services in every London Borough.
Court-based Witness Services are available in every London Criminal Court, providing support to both prosecution and defence witnesses faced with giving evidence. Click here for more information.
Every year, more than 1,500 staff and volunteers across London provide support to nearly 400,000 victims and witnesses of crime and their families.
Victim Support London (VSL)
Victim Support London (VSL) is the executive management body for Victim Support in London. As the Association of London Victim Support Schemes, VSL also acts as a voice for victims and witnesses in the capital.
Through its membership of the London Criminal Justice Board, VSL is working to ensure more consistent and better quality services for victims and witnesses in the London criminal justice system. VSL is also working to address the post-code lottery of service provision to victims and witnesses within the community by ensuring that more specialist services are available to victims of serious crimes and to young victims.
