Where Two Wheels Meet Heavy Metal!
The new and totally revised BMF Garden of England Motorcycle Show (GEMS) is shaping up to be something big in more ways than one when this year it combines motorcycles and monster trucks at the same venue!
Now being held at the Kent County Showground after many years at the nearby Hop Farm, GEMS teams up with the big wheels of Truckfest South East and anyone attending GEMS will now also get free entry to the Truckfest event as well!
Regularly attracting around 20,000 show goers, GEMS has established itself as a popular summer destination but with the Truckfest event located at nearby Detling,BMF event organisers Live Promotions say it makes sense to try and combine the two in a unique weekend of wheels - big and small!
The GEMS main arena will be packed full of stunts and entertainment for all the family. A firm favourite with the GEMS crowds, stunt rider Jason Smyth and his Adrenaline Tour will be staging his amaz ing freestyle jumps and other stunts, but horsepower of another kind then takes to the arena a display of Jousting and Medieval horsemanship.
The live entertainment meanwhile features Stars in Their Eyes winner ‘Pure Meatloaf’ headlining on the Friday evening supported by BMF newcomers Sidewinder. Saturday evening is headed up by BMF favourites League of Mental Men, supported by the fantastic Ska’d 4 Life. Sunday then features Organize Chaos, one of the qualifying bands from our 2007 Battle of the Bands competition.
The successful GEMS mix of two days of action packed entertainment and hundreds of exhibitors and fair rides will now be enhanced by Truckfest which will add in a mix of celebrities, monster truck displays in the arena, truck and trade exhibition and several hundred display trucks from around the UK and Europe.
Camping opens 2pm, Friday 30th May and with double the attractions, double the main arena action, do uble the trade stands and all for the same price, GEMS is really looking to shine!
