Intellect's Industry Leadership Lunch Series allows members to keep in touch with industry developments in the UK and abroad, and provides an opportunity to broaden business contacts.
Who is the speaker and what will be talked about?
In the second of this year's series, we welcome Brian McKeon, managing director and chief executive of Raytheon Systems Limited (RSL) in the UK and chairman of ThalesRaytheonSystems (TRS). The theme for Brian's presentation is 'Running the European end of a major global company with the Government as your customer'.
Using examples of Raytheon's success in winning major programmes with both the MoD and the Home Office, Brian will give an understanding of the issues facing global companies in a changing overseas market environment, especially in dealing with important national issues such as industrial policy, security and sovereignty.
Brian McKeon
Brian joined RSL in May 2006 having previously held the post of vice president of the command and control systems product line for Raytheon Network Centric Systems. Concurrently he holds the post of chairman of ThalesRaytheonSystems (TRS), the first transatlantic joint venture between two major global defence companies, Thales Group and Raytheon Company.
Brian has extensive management experience in software development, including real-time systems, simulations, automated test equipment, software development planning, CASE tool evaluation, software process evolution, evaluation and assessment and promises to be an interesting and engaging speaker.
