Countryside Alliance: National Shooting Week Award for Altrincham gun club

Friday, 21 October 2011 4:43 PM

The prestigious National Shooting Week Award was presented to Roy Green of Altrincham Rifle and Pistol Club at the Tackle & Gun Awards at Kenilworth in Warwickshire this week.

Countryside Alliance Shooting Campaign Manager David Taylor presented the award to Roy in recognition of the club’s excellent record in introducing newcomers to shooting sports each year as part of the National Shooting Week initiative.

National Shooting Week is an annual national event which aims to encourage newcomers into shooting and is run by the Countryside Alliance on behalf of the British Shooting Sports Council.

David Taylor commented: “National Shooting Week has been running for many years now and a number of clubs have seized the opportunity to really promote shooting sports. What Roy and his team have done to encourage newcomers at Altrincham is inspiring and will help to secure shooting’s future.”

Ends.
