In a time of intense pressure on the UK economy both at home and abroad; impending regulation of the sector in Europe and in the UK, it is, more than ever, crucial for lenders, regulators and other stakeholders to discuss solutions to the challenges facing the UK mortgage market.

The Council of Mortgage Lenders’ flagship event, the Mortgage Industry Conference and Exhibition (MICE) brings together the highest level of mortgage specialists in the UK with senior stakeholders and decision makers outside of the industry to discuss these issues. MICE is the must-attend event for senior mortgage professionals wanting to keep up to date with industry developments.

The focus of MICE 2012 will be on the evolving landscape in every stage of business for lenders, their customers and suppliers. “Time to be different” is an apt summary of the metamorphosis that lenders will need to undergo in the coming 12 months to operate effectively in a different, and more challenging, environment.
Price to attend:

Member rate: £325 (VAT exempt)
Member multiple booking rate: £285 (VAT exempt) for two or more bookings made at the same time)

The focus of MICE 2012 will be on the evolving landscape in every stage of business for lenders, their customers and suppliers. “Adapt to change” is an apt summary of the metamorphosis that lenders will need to undergo in the coming 12 months to operate effectively in a different, and more challenging, environment.

With change comes the opportunity for innovation in the market, and this will be highlighted in several sessions throughout the programme. The first example of this will be a builders’ panel session which brings together lenders with the building industry’s leading voices to talk about new projects including the government’s NewBuy scheme launched in March.

In partnership with a compelling and information programme, MICE also provides delegates with the time to network with industry colleagues. This will take place in several ways. Firstly, the programme will contain 20 minute delegate discussion sessions for delegates to discuss the presentations they have just heard in small groups. It is an ideal opportunity to share best practice, as well as voice concerns and hear from different perspectives.

The exhibition will once again feature key industry suppliers who will be on hand to meet delegates and showcase the latest products and services that can help the industry. Exhibitors will be listed on the MICE website (open in May 2012) and delegates will be able to start the conversations before the day with the opportunity to comment on forums, email other attendees, and put questions to our exhibitors and speakers.

We look forward to seeing you.
