CIOB launches new journal for 'Construction Research and Innovation'

Tuesday, 9 February 2010 12:00 AM

This March sees the inaugural edition of a new journal from the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).

Construction Research and Innovation (CRI) is a quarterly publication offering the latest digest of research and cutting-edge analysis in the built environment business.

As successor to Construction Information Quarterly, CRI selects the best university and practitioner-led research and makes it accessible for busy professionals. It also carries specially-commissioned, in-depth reports designed to give readers a strategic understanding of the way the built-environment business is changing.

"We saw a gap in the market for a journal that links academia with practitioners," said CRI editor Rod Sweet. "There is a lot of good thinking and research going on out there and we want to make it available to a broader readership. It's a bit like the Harvard Business Review for construction."
