CIHT welcomes the 2013 Budget’s acknowledgement that infrastructure is a key economic policy priority. Investment in a fully functioning transport infrastructure is essential to underpinning a successful economy and has been at the forefront of CIHT’s vision for a prosperous economic future for the UK.
Today the Coalition Government announced their midterm review. In this review, they highlighted that they are to focus on delivery and investment in UK infrastructure
CIHT welcomes the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement committing further investment to the UK’s transport infrastructure. John Smart, the well known and popular Director of Policy and Technical Affairs at the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) died suddenly in November at the age of 55 after a very short illness.
Individuals in the highways and transportation industry will now be able to gain EngTech status through CIHT following recent accreditation from the Engineering Council.
