Chamber of Shipping: One Voice comment on the Marine and Coastal Access Bill
Wednesday, 3 December 2008
12:00 AM
"The UK maritime industry fully supports the Marine and Coastal Access Bill, but stresses the need for proper consideration of the interests of UK shipping and the wider commercial maritime sector" said Richard Everitt, chairman of One Voice. "As the Bill moves forward we hope that the Government's legislation will deliver the appropriate balance between environmental, commercial and social interests for the benefit of all."
Note to Editor
- One Voice is a new industry agreement between the shipping, ports and maritime business services sectors in the UK.
- The initiative brings together the maritime sector to speak with a single voice on key strategic and practical issues of joint interest.
- Our intention is to create "joined-up" industry positions between these sectors so that the maritime message can be heard clearly and with greater weight by Government and other audiences.
