The role of the BSIA

The BSIA works with organisations such as the Security Industry Authority, British Standards Institution and Association of British Insurers to improve standards of security products and services, including the development of British and European Standards. A key role is the dissemination of best practice.

All BSIA companies have been independently inspected by a UKAS accredited organisation to the quality management standard ISO 9000 and to relevant industry standards.

The Association also liaises with key influencers in order to gain understanding and support for its members' objectives and to ensure that new policies and legislation benefits, or does not unduly hinder, their business operations. We work to develop a business climate in which members can flourish.
