The BMF Tailend Show Camps it Up!

Friday, 26 August 2011 10:03 AM

9th – 11th September, Lincolnshire Showground

Motorcycle shows and caravans don’t normally go together, but given the unpredictability of Britain’s weather, hiring an on-site caravan with all mod cons could be an attractive proposition – especially as this is now an option at this year’s BMF Tail End show!

Now in it’s second year at the Lincolnshire Showground, the BMF is hoping for better weather than last year, but for those who fancy an upgraded camping experience, a range of modern caravans from two berth to six birth, all set-up prior to the event and fully equipped with own kitchen, shower and toilet, are now available for hire. Hire rates start at just £125 for the whole weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday night). Full details from www.suntimecaravans.co.uk quoting ‘BMF Tailend Show’.

With nearly 150 trade and club stands and a completely re-designed show layout, things are looking good for this popular show. As well as the caravan hire option, major improvements have been made to the camping areas including more toilet and shower blocks and enhanced security fencing. But this will be just part of a show that brings together bikes, bands, arena entertainment and hundreds of bargains from a wide variety of traders.

The ever popular BMF Moped Enduro is back and the ACU will be running their spectacular 1000cc grass track sidecars as well as ‘open’ class racing, PLUS there will be the Top Gun MX racers showing just what can be done on two wheels! The main arena will feature the amazing skills of the Vander Brothers in their giant, 50ft high Double Wheel of Death Space Wheel and the more down to earth skills of youngsters of the Imps Motorcycle Display Team.

Hein Gericke, J&S and George White are just some of the big named traders, while other attractions include the land-speed record seekers the Angelic Bulldog Project Team and the ever-popular Wall of Death. L.I.V.E.S. (Lincolnshire Integrated Voluntary Emergency Service) will be demonstrating their life-saving skills and the Joey Dunlop Foundation team will be on hand offering showgoers the chance to win a Honda 600RR - in RC30 colours!

Getting back to basics at this well established end of season Tail End party event, the BMF’s ‘Club Knockout’ featuring Whelly Whanging, Dizzy Sticks and Tug O’ War will run over Saturday and Sunday and in fact, for anyone making a weekend of it, those camping get the added benefit of live music on Friday & Saturday evenings from the ever-popular Hooker and The League of Mentalmen, plus, Pugma-Ho, Clutching at Straws, The Stones and our Bon Jovi tribute band, Bon Giovoni.

The BMF Tailend Show is a great end of season weekend – made even better for families because under 16’s (accompanied by a fee paying adult) go FREE - and that includes camping!
