New BASC directory for gamekeepers

Thursday, 4 March 2010 12:00 AM

Gamekeepers and shoot organisers from across the UK can now get their hands on an invaluable directory, containing contact details of more than 1,000 shooting-related businesses.

20,000 copies of the Directory of Gamekeeping 2010, produced by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) and Blaze Publishing, have been sent out to all of BASC's gamekeeper members and shoot captains.

The directory has been published as a resource for working gamekeepers and contains full contact details for businesses and organisations involved in gamekeeping and related supplies. Its aim is to provide the best information resource available to the gamekeeper.

Entries are listed alphabetically and the guide also features a list of shows of interest to gamekeepers and shoot captains.

David Ilsley, BASC's head of marketing and membership services, said: "The Directory of Gamekeeping is a one-stop shop for anyone who is a gamekeeper, or who is involved in gamekeeping or shoot management.

"It contains more than 60 pages of contacts including game farms, feed suppliers, cover crops, traps, game dealers, feed manufactures and much more. No gamekeeper or shoot captain should be without a copy."

Extra copies of the directory can be obtained free of charge by sending a self-addressed, A4 sized envelope stamped with 90 pence postage to BASC, Marford Mill, Rossett, LL12 0HL. They can also be collected, subject to availability, from one of the BASC events and shows, starting with the Gamekeepers' Fair at Catton Park, Derbyshire, on 17th and 18th April.
