How we support blind veterans

We give guidance and support to veterans as they adjust to their loss of sight and regain their personal independence. Whatever the level of support they need, we will work with them for the rest of their lives.

Our services include:

Introductory courses

Week-long courses to help veterans adjust to sight loss

Rehabilitation

Our rehabilitation officers help veterans learn to live independently with sight loss

Sports and recreation

Running, swimming, cycling and more: we help veterans stay active and healthy

Art and craft

Training and support help veterans explore and develop their creativity

Clubs and societies

Bringing blind veterans together through sports and hobbies

Information technology

Teaching veterans to use computers for everything from email to web-browsing

Welfare

Our welfare team give local support in people’s homes and help with grants

Care

Residential care – both temporary and permanent – for veterans who need it

St Dunstan's Llandudno - new centre opening

Built in 1902 by the Forrester family as a convalescence home for shale miners this magnificent building in Llandudno is the newest centre for St Dunstan's which will open in September 2011. This centre promises to be another fantastic addition to our overall facilities and has been renovated and refurbished to bring out the best of this building.
