ABI calls for clear accountability for the FCA as the Treasury Select Committee launches inquiry

Maggie Craig, Director of Life and Savings at the Association of British Insurers said:

"It is absolutely crucial that there is clarity on accountability of the new regulator. We are concerned that current Government proposals make the FCA less accountable than the current system. This must not be the case as it is imperative that the new regulatory structure is effective. We look forward to continued constructive discussions with the Government to make sure the new system is robust, clear and delivers.”
