PCS Parliamentary Group

Tuesday, 02, Dec 2008 01:56

PCS has a highly active all party parliamentary group with over 65 members.

Set up in October 2003 the group has secured some notable parliamentary successes, including stopping the privatisation of the Forensic Science Service, helping solve the long running pay dispute in the Department for Work and Pensions and highlighting the worse effects of the government's planned 100,000 civil and public service job cuts.

The group, chaired by John McDonnell MP, meets every 4-6 weeks while parliament is sitting and receives detailed briefs on relevant PCS issues. After group meetings briefings will be attached to this webpage.
