Policy work

The NFU has a core body of advisers working in the regions, Brussels and nationally.

Consulting members on agricultural policy developments, the NFU’s advisers produce policy documents on the NFU position and respond to government consultations on behalf of its members. In its capacity as one of the UK’s leading lobbying bodies and one of the foremost farming organisations in Europe, the NFU plays a central role in guiding agricultural policy, developing legislation, and promoting the importance of agriculture in the UK.
