EPSRC provides support for a number of research facilities and services both in the UK and overseas.

UK researchers from the engineering and physical sciences research community can request access to neutron, synchrotron and laser facilities supported by the Council for the Central Laboratory of the Research Councils (CCLRC).

Details on ISIS (Pulsed Neutron Source), SRS (Synchrotron Radiation Source) and CLF (Central Laser Facility) are available from the CCLRC website, and further information on the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) and the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) can be found on their respective websites.

The UK is also building a new third generation light source – Diamond. Further information can be found on the Diamond website.
