The ESG considered a broad range of possible sources of change in the industry, including environmental, technological, political and regulatory factors. It also considered the complex interactions between these forces, and then assessed the extent to which these forces might ultimately impact the BSC and, critically, whether that impact was likely or not to emerge during the lifetime of the new BSC Agent contracts and systems being provided by Project Isis. It is important for us to understand the potential nature and scale of future developments as we will use this input to assess our Agents’ track record of successful change and to estimate the total cost of ownership over the life of any new contracts for financial planning purposes.
