Consultation Responses to Government

A major part of Crisis' work lies in improving homeless people's lives through advancing appropriate and supportive policies within government and voluntary sectors. Our aim is to influence policy makers in Government and the voluntary sector by engaging positively and pro-actively with the external political environment, using the insights from our research and project work to make the case for specific changes to policy at all levels to improve the lives of homeless people.

A consultation is conducted when a specific policy is being re-thought. The government conducts consultations in order to involve the public in the policy-making process by taking on board the knowledge and suggestions of individuals, groups, communities and organisations.
