Services & Referrals

Support Services
Avenues provides support services for people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health problems and physical disabilities. We also have well advanced plans to provide services for children with disabilities and their families.

Avenues offers a wide range of services ranging from small domestic scale care homes registered with The National Care Standards Commission through to supported living options. While the majority of our service users live in registered settings, an increasing amount of our work supports people in their own homes. All services are tailored to the individual needs of users and are created with them. Most of Avenues services have high levels of need through profound disability, challenging behaviour and mental ill health.

Avenues services have been planned as a response to an individual's need and we would be happy to discuss any situation to see if we could offer a service. Abstract description of services is often unhelpful so click on the buttons on the left to see a series of examples of the services we provide. This is not exhaustive and we are always happy to rise to new challenges.

We have grouped our examples around learning disability services, mental health services and those to children with disabilities. However, it is often the case that within our adult services, service users present a combination of issues.

Referrals
Avenues from time to time has placements available within its existing services.

Additionally, Avenues is continually working with local commissioners in developing new services and may have placements available on the opening of a new house.

All our placements are provided with the same high quality of support and encompass our values of unique services centred round the individual person. We aim to ensure that all individuals are fully involved in the service provision and in the organisation as a whole through our service user involvement strategy.

For details of our current placements, both within existing services and new ones, please click on the appropriate area.

If you are interested in being placed on our referral mailing list, please e-mail Beverley Laurance or telephone 0208 308 2900.
