One of the country's top police officers has outlined his claims of racism against the Met today.
In a televised press conference, Assistant Commissioner Tarique Ghaffur accused senior Met officials, including Commissioner Sir Ian Blair, of a campaign aimed at undermining his authority.
Assistant Commissioner Ghaffur, 53, claims he was the victim of racial, religious and age discrimination.
And an employment tribunal claim for compensation has already been launched by his legal team.
He has previously alleged that he was deliberately sidelined when it came to organising the policing of the London 2012 Olympics.
The police chief said his legal team had made "many rational efforts" to resolve the dispute but they had failed.
He claimed, however, that he "dearly loved" the Met police force and said he would continue to play a part in making London safer.
