New arrest in phone-hacking case

By Phil Scullion

Former News of the World news editor Greg Miskiw has reportedly been arrested by the Metropolitan police in connection with phone-hacking.

The 61-year-old was arrested by appointment at a London police station having recently flown to the UK from his home in Florida.

He had come under pressure in mid-late July to return to the UK and had told reporters: "I'm returning to the UK voluntarily.

"My solicitors have been talking to the police for some time now.

"They know where I am and they know I'm returning. That’s all I have to say."

Mr Miskiw worked on the News of the World at the same time as former editors Rebekah Brooks and Andy Coulson, but left in 2005.
