A former British MEP has switched his plea at a trial and admitting fiddling £36,000 of expenses.
Tom Wise, 61, had previously said he was innocent of false accounting and money laundering.
But the former Ukip MEP - who later stood as an independent - switched his plea.
The court heard Mr Wise spent the money on wine and cars.
He will remain on bail until sentencing next Wednesday.
