Harman's roof invaded - again

Wednesday, 9 July 2008 12:00 AM

Two men have invaded the roof of equality minister Harriet Harman in a Fathers 4 Justice protest.

The pair are believed to be Mark Harris and Jolly Stanesby, who carried out a similar protest at the property in Herne Hill, south London, on June 8th and 9th.

Ms Harman is presumably not at her home. As deputy leader of the Labour party she faces William Hague in the Commons for prime minister's question today.

A Metropolitan police spokesperson said officers first received reports of the incident at 06:22 BST this morning.

"We are at the scene and are currently in dialogue with the men," he added.

It is the latest in a series of high-profile stunts conducted by the protest group. In 2006 protestors threw condoms full of purple flour at former prime minister Tony Blair as he answered questions in the House of Commons.
