Two men charged with terror offences

Two men from Oldham have been charged under the Terrorism Act after being accused of distributing a terrorist publication.

Amjad Mahmood, 29, and Shella Roma, 27, both of Chester Road, Werneth, Oldham, were arrested by Greater Manchester police's counter terrorism unit on January 31st.

They have been charged under Section Two of the Terrorism Act 2006 which relates to the distribution or circulation of a terrorist publication which directly or indirectly incites terrorism.

The two men have been bailed to appear at Westminster magistrates' court on February 12th.
