FSA publishes financial advice guide

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has today published a guide on financial advice.

The guide is designed to help people understand what advice is on offer and how to get it.

The guide also offers information on choosing the right advice on mortgages, insurance and investments; as well as offering tips on what to expect from a visit to an adviser.

"Consumers say they need and want help with their finances, but they often also say that they turn to friends and family as the most trusted source of advice on financial matters," said Anna Bradley, of the FSA.

"We hope this guide will be a valuable tool in helping consumers become more confident about seeking and using financial advice."

The FSA guide can be found online here.
