Conservatives reshuffle board
Former Conservative co-chairmen Dr Liam Fox and Lord Saatchi have left the Conservative Party board as part of changes arising from the Shadow Cabinet reshuffle.
They are replaced by new Party Chairman Francis Maude, the party announced today.
It also revealed that Lord Hesketh has retired from the board to be replaced as Party Treasurer by Jonathan Marland.
And Conservative Party donor Lord Ashcroft has been asked to join the board “in view of his outstanding contribution to the party’s progress in winning target seats”.
Belize-based peer Lord Ashcroft is a former Party Treasurer.
