Celia Barlow Mp celebrates five-year anniversary of the fox hunting ban

This week marks the 5 year anniversary of the Fox-Hunting Bill receiving Royal Assent, which ended the cruel practice of hunting with dogs.

In that time, dozens of prosecutions have been brought under the Act, showing that this ban is making a real difference.

Marking the anniversary Celia Barlow MP said,

“Five years ago this week the ban on hunting with dogs became law and I am proud that the Labour Party helped to ban this cruel sport. The ban is making a difference and has the support of the British public.

“I am really concerned that the Conservatives have pledged to make getting rid of the fox-hunting ban a priority if they were to win the next election, and I find this unbelievable with all the challenges the world is currently facing.
