Zimbabwe Action Group: Efforts will be successful

Tuesday, 03, Jun 2008 12:00

Floyd Mutambiranwa, secretary general of the Zimbabwe Action Group, comments on the possibility of Robert Mugabe having his knighthood revoked:

"I think the efforts will be successful. Edinburgh revoked his degree, so I don’t see why this shouldn’t be successful.

"It’s the right course of action. These institutions are meant to reward people for positive actions and allowing him to keep such an honour is an insult to the Zimbabwean people.

"The world does not seem to recognise the Zimbabweans are victims of this regime. All the residents of the country are victims of the regime.

"It's diabolical that he's at the Rome food conference today. He's actually starving people."
