Parents should be allowed to choose the sex of their baby under new plans, according to a report by the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee. It says parents should hold greater sway over embryo screening and selection, and calls for the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority to be replaced with a scaled-down body called the Regulatory Agency for Fertility and Tissues.
