Stonewall: Bill will help mothers and babies

Ben Summerskill, chief executive of Stonewall, the gay rights pressure group, comments on tonight embryology bill to Channel 4's News at Noon:

He said: "If lesbian and gay couples continue to be refused access to fertility clinics, as they often are, then they will simply go to back street providers of these services.

"Critically they end up using unscreened sperm which means that not only mothers but also their children are put at risk as well."
