An early day motion (EDM) backing striking workers at the Grangemouth oil refinery has attracted over 50 signatures from MPs.
Grangemouth MP Michael Connarty tabled the motion in the Commons on Tuesday last week and it has so far been signed by 51 MPs, including prominent Labour rebel Frank Field.
It expresses "concern" at operating firm Ineos' "aggressive tactics" and states the House is "alarmed" by proposals to change the pensions scheme at the heart of the dispute.
The EDM concludes by expressing support for the "efforts of the Ineos workforce and their trade union Unite to sustain existing pension arrangements on this very profitable complex for the benefit of all current and future employees".
