David Cameron has hit out at Gordon Brown's supposed dithering over attending the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics.
Number 10 claims the prime minister was never intending to attend the opening ceremony, saying confusion was caused by Chinese officials, but the Conservative leader said Mr Brown was dithering.
Mr Cameron said on Channel 4’s News at Noon: "If dithering was an Olympic sport he would have a gold medal."
"It seems extraordinary the way these decisions come out.
"He wants the Olympic flame in Downing Street, but he doesn’t want to touch it. He goes off to the Lisbon summit, is late, and then does sign it. Now is he or isn’t he going to the Olympics?"
The Tory leader told the BBC: "People around the world must be scratching their heads, thinking 'what on earth does the British prime minister think?'"
