BSA: Too many measures left behind

Mark Fox, chief executive of the Business Services Association (BSA), is worried by the number of plans from last year's Queen's Speech which have been left behind.

"On the whole we would like to see previous policy initiatives followed through and given a chance to become fully effective before another round is implemented," he said.

"The industry is operating in an increasingly tough and challenging economic environment in the private and public sectors and we would welcome a strong reaffirmation from the government about its commitment to increasing the role of the private sector in public sector service provision."
