As the dust settles on yesterday's violence at Tory HQ, the clean-up and recriminations begin.
The protest, numbering 50,000 according to organisers, was largely peaceful, but ended in violence as some protestors diverted to the Millbank building where Conservative Campaign Headquarters (CCHQ) is located.
Several injuries were suffered and dozens of arrests were made, though concerns overnight focused on the small contingent of police officers present until the protestors had already stormed the building, smashed windows and appeared on the roof.
Unions organising the protest expressed disappointment at what they described as a tiny minority of protestors spoiling the event, though some insisted students' peaceful message to the government had still been heard.
The prime minister and the mayor of London have both condemned the incident.
