Non-violent extremism

David Cameron is set to win the battle for a tougher stance on Islamist extremism following a lengthy Cabinet feud.
The government's Prevent strategy will extend from tackling violent extremism and will also combat non-violent extremism, including groups who hold 'non-British' values.
Nick Clegg was joined by a number of cabinet colleagues including Conservative party chairman Baroness Warsi and Dominic Grieve in opposing the plans.
Muslim groups have questioned the label 'non-British' values particularly with regard to Muslims who practice Sharia law, accusing the government of advocating the same old worn out policy.
