MPs claimed £3.1 million between May and August, as criticism of the new watchdog mounts.
The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (Ipsa) published the claims today, but not the receipts, claiming the £1 million cost of publication did not represent value for money for the taxpayer.
MPs are debating the new system this afternoon. Parliamentarians have little love for Ipsa, the legislation for which was claimed by some to be "rushed" in the panic to reform in the wake of the expenses scandal.
Ipsa is currently conducting an annual review of its rules.
