Megrahi release

David Cameron has resisted considerable pressure to launch an inquiry into the release of Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset al-Megrahi.
Speaking alongside US president Barack Obama during his first trip to Washington, the prime minister said he would ask the Cabinet secretary to look over the details of the release.
The Scottish executive, which allowed the release on compassionate grounds, is standing by its decision.
But the anger in the US is palpable and only made worse by the recent BP oil spill. Some senators are asking if BP secured the prisoner transfer agreement - a claim Mr Cameron and BP both deny.
