Lord Young's report recommending cutting health and safety over-regulation and ending the 'compensation culture' has been released.
The report has been heavily endorsed by the prime minister, who is keen on reducing the regulatory regime on the issue.
The report suggests removing obligations to engage in risk assessments and reducing regulation of 'low-risk' areas such as schools and hospitals.
Unions have reacted angrily to the proposals arguing that it will lead to a large increase in workplace injuries and ill health.
