Ed Miliband anti-business storm

28/09/11

Ed Miliband has kicked off a war of words with the business world following his hostile speech at the Labour party conference yesterday.

The Labour leader criticised "predatory" businesses which are just out to make a "quick buck".

Mr Miliband's comments were well received by Labour members in Liverpool.

However his speech has prompted a backlash from business leaders, many of whom regarded the speech as fundamentally "anti-business".

Conservatives have also taken the opportunity to slate his position, referring to Mr Miliband as "a weak leader".
