Disability cuts
Wednesday, 11 May 2011 00:00
Disabled protestors gathered in London today to lobby MPs about threats to their allowances.
The Hardest Hit demonstration was organised by the UK Disabled People's Council and the Disability Benefits Consortium and involved over 490 organisations.
Campaigners were outraged that disabled peoples minister Maria Miller would not attend the protest.
Among the range of concerns expressed by activists, much of the attention focuses on a potential cut to the disability living allowance.
