Burkha ban

A burkha ban has been ruled out in the UK by the immigration minister, who branded it "un-British".
The issue of whether Muslim women should be allowed to wear the garment, which covers the face, in public was raised after France voted for a ban in public spaces last week.
Caroline Spelman, environment secretary, also ruled out a ban.
Fellow Tory MP Philip Hollobone has introduced a private members' bill demanding people be banned from covering their face in public, but it is expected to receive little support.
